Study of basic principles of operation of electric circuits and their elements on the basis of an online simulator

Registration for a trial lesson

  • Childs age: from 12 years old
  • Course direction: Engineering
  • Duration of the lesson: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Study period: 9 months (36 lessons)
  • Formation of groups: up to 8 people
  • In the branch "Online courses" this course is not present

Preparing for the first lesson: before the first lesson, students are provided with all the necessary information on how to install the required training programs on their computer, as well as instructions on how to install and operate Zoom.
The teacher helps students understand all the tools and programs in the first trial lesson that will be used in the course, as well as gives an introductory lesson with practical tasks for students.

Form of education: training takes place in groups (no more than 8 people) once a week in the Zoom online conference.

Description:The first module of the Electronics course involves the study of the basic principles of electrical circuits and their elements based on the online simulator of electrical circuits TinkerCad.

In this course, students will learn about Ohm’s law, learn how to measure electrical quantities and calculate the basic parameters of DC circuits, learn about the role and use of electronics in modern technology. The students will learn how to model elementary electric circuits on circuits and even create their own circuits. In this module students learn how to work with such elements of electrical circuits as resistor, LED, potentiometer, photoresistor and more.

A feature of the TinkerCad environment is that it uses real-life models that are easy to buy for real-world experiments at home. The knowledge gained during the course will definitely be useful for future engineers, roboticists and even IT specialists.

What is needed: must have a computer (laptop or PC), continuous Internet access and video communication device (computer webcam, or smartphone/tablet).

The second module of the Electronics course involves studying the elements of switching electrical circuits: buttons, switches, relays and others based on the online simulator of electrical circuits TinkerCad.

In this course, students will learn the principles of including switching elements in electrical circuits, their purpose and features of operation. They will be able to improve their reading skills of electrical circuits, and will deepen their understanding of the flow of physical processes in DC circuits.

A feature of the TinkerCad environment is that it uses real-life models that are easy to buy for real-world experiments at home.

The knowledge gained during the course will definitely be useful for future engineers, roboticists and even IT specialists.

The third module of the Electronics course is devoted to the study of semiconductor elements: diodes, transistors, Zener diodes, as well as circuits based on them. Classes are held on the basis of the online simulator of electrical circuits TinkerCad.

In this course, students will learn about the structure and functioning of semiconductor elements and how they are used in electrical circuits. Learn how the diode bridge circuits, Darlington and Shikai circuits, a multivibrator and an elementary amplifying cascade work and what purpose they have.

A feature of the TinkerCad environment is that it uses real-life models that are easy to buy for real-world experiments at home.

The knowledge gained during the course will definitely be useful for future engineers, roboticists and even IT specialists.
