Kodu Game Lab course is an extremely vivid dive into the world of computer game development based on the eponymous Microsoft product.
In this course, students will be able to create a number of games in different genres (quest, shooter, race, simulator, etc.), using the tools of the environment. During the games, students will learn how to form 3D-textures of the game, add characters and program their control and interaction with other characters, adjust the conditions of defeat and victory and the necessary mechanics of the game, as well as to implement the conceived plot in the game.
Being able to see the design of a computer game from the inside and evaluate the efforts required to create it is of particular interest to young game developers. The simple and interesting visual programming of the Kodu Game Lab environment will allow students to take the first step into the world of information technology and get them interested in further development in this area.
Kodu Game Lab is a free platform, and therefore, by installing it at home, students will be able to continue to create their own games, applying the knowledge and skills gained during the training.
